Phensang Monastery is a Buddhist monastery of the Nyingmapa order, established in 1721 during the time of Jigme Pawo. Phensang hosts an annual festival on the 28th and 29th day of the tenth month of the Tibetan Calendar when sacred dances are performed.
Sikkim Himalayan Zoological Park
Sprawled in an area of 205 hectares in a mountainous terrain, Sikkim Himalayan Zoological Park is the first park of its kind in the North-Eastern part of India. Musk Deer, Blue Sheep, Himalayan Black Bear, Barking Deer and Red Panda roam around in extensive forested enclosures.
